Amplified Edition No 2- Sister works
Amplified Edition No 2- Sister works are six short films created through the documentation of a live process, making Amplified Edition No 2. The work explores the potential for relationality between body, material and sound; in this instance, the material is tarpaulin.
The films examine the tarpaulin from a close-up and an inside perspective, visually looking like fictional water.
Hanna’s research explores voice, movement, language and the choreography of hosting and facilitation. She is part of a new research initiative called Rose Choreographic School Sadler’s Wells London (2024-26), directed by Dr Martin Hargreaves. She is part-time senior lecturer at Roehampton University, where she teaches and convenes choreographic and dance practice to MA students.
In 2021, Hanna collaborated with photographer/architect Ioana Marinescu at Beaconsfield Gallery, London. They worked with concepts around erasure and archiving, with the dynamics of Beaconsfield’s Upper Gallery, bringing other photographic archives into relationship with its specific architecture and history.
Since 2000, Hanna has collaborated with Heidi Rustgaard under H2DANCE, adopting a transdisciplinary choreographic approach. Together, they have co-created nine full-length international touring performances co-produced by partners in the UK and Nordic countries, alongside various shorter works and commissions. Since 2018, H2DANCE has curated Fest en Fest, an international festival of expanded choreography presenting Nordic and British artists in London, Cambridge and Colchester.
